Vicenta

Location: East Samar

Vicenta is an entrepreneur from Eastern Samar, Philippines. Her main business is managing her sari-sari convenience store, which she has owned for 20 years. She also makes shell crafts, such as necklaces and curtains, which she sells to community members who attend the church across the street. She also exports to areas of greater tourism. Vicenta joined WPF microfinance partner NWTF to gain additional loan capital for her shell crafts.
