Thanks to Papyrus-Recycled Greetings for contributing this blog post. We are pleased this company values entrepreneurship and expression and that its core values resemble the mission of Whole Planet Foundation.
At Papyrus-Recycled Greetings, we inspire personal connections like no other company can with greeting cards and gift-giving accessories that make life’s moments more meaningful, whether it’s through the artistry and craftsmanship of Papyrus or the true individual expression of the Recycled Paper Greetings community of independent artists.
We also know that helping to ensure we have a healthy planet on which our friends and loved ones can enjoy those connections, a planet on which innovation and entrepreneurship can flourish in all circumstances, is integral to the success of achieving our mission of inspiring personal connections.
That’s why we’re thrilled about our new partnership with Whole Planet Foundation. Working with them was a natural fit for our company, and together we’re on a mission to help alleviate poverty in 61 countries by creating micro-loans to improve the quality of life in developing-world communities.
Our donation to the Foundation will connect 543 budding entrepreneurs with the means to make a positive and meaningful impact in their communities. These new microloans will be distributed to individuals to create or expand a home-based business and lift themselves and their families out of poverty. All in all, it will help improve the quality of life for over 3,200 people, and we’re mighty proud to be a part of that.
“It’s an incredible thing to see ideas flourish into reality, and it’s an honor to help open doors for those who have the ideas, but simply need a little help to bring them to fruition,” says Sue Buchta, president of Papyrus-Recycled Greetings. “These entrepreneurs are inspiring, and we’re excited to be a part of what we hope is a long and prosperous journey for them.”
Whole Planet’s mission hits close to home, as entrepreneurship and individual expression sit at the core of our company. Papyrus began as a small family business run out of a kitchen, and Recycled Paper Greetings was the brainchild of two friends who took an imaginative risk with greeting cards. Supporting Whole Planet Foundation in their goal to help unleash the energy and creativity of every human with whom they work was a natural extension of our company’s core values.
We’re beyond excited to share this news and we want you to celebrate with us! In honor of this fantastic partnership with Whole Planet Foundation, we would like to give away five globally-inspired gift packs of Papyrus and Recycled Paper Greetings products. Just share this blog post with your friends on social media using #WPFPRG and tag us at @PRGreetings and @WholePlanet. Help us spread the word and create change around the globe!
